This week has been a crazy one (and it's not even over yet), so I thought it would be a good time for another "To Give Thanks..." post. So, from the last few days these are the things I am thankful for.
... for lessons learned when we're little. (can't throw rocks in the parking lot by school else you get sent to the office --- even if there are NO cars and the rocks didn't hit anyone)
... that it is known that colds don't last forever
... for cell phones so that the boys can say good night to Daddy when he's not home from work yet at bedtime or is out of town
... for true, innocent and genuine smiles
... for digital photos, they make putting together a photo directory much easier (cut - paste - label) How would we have done it in the time of 35mm prints
... quietness
... for a shower that is warm (and that I don't have to rush out of because of a screaming child)
... for my education and being able to explain homework things to my children in a way that they understand
... for time spent doing puzzles with Trevor
... for delicious food that we get to put on our table every night
... for fuzzy, warm blankets
... for noonies (or pacifiers, or binkies, or nuks, or whatever you want to call them....they are lifesavers)
... for wonderful teachers and staff at a school that we love
... for a family that I love to talk to on a whim. Just shooting the breeze makes me happy
... for the ability to laugh at stressful things
... for a warm, soft bed to crawl into at night
... for amazing friends
... for Thursday church days. It's so fun and inspiring to see all the school kids in church, behaving and listening.
... for the priest at our church that keeps the kids interested by talking down to their level and discussing the Word of the Lord in an understandable way for them
... for the generosity of people who so willingly give to others in need during this holiday season (and at any time for that matter)
... for the peacefulness of a sleeping child in your arms (which I am experiencing at the moment I am typing this post)
... for the daredevil in my children which allows them to try new things even if they do make me worry a bit about them hurting themselves

To Give Thanks....
It's been a bit crazy around here lately with kids being sick, non-stop running around due to ump-teen (yes, I'm saying that's a word today) events for the boys, Rick's work schedule, and just trying to stay caught up (which I'm not doing a very good job at). But last night after I finally got Cooper to sleep, I just sat in the quiet house and realized that there are many things to be thankful for. Big things and little things. So, in order to keep my mind in the right spot during these upcoming holiday months, I am going to periodically be posting about what I AM thankful for and what we have been blessed with.
So today, here are are just a few of the many things I am thankful for...
*My three beautiful boys, they might be sick every now and then, but they are here for me to hug
*That my boys still love to hug their mom
*A warm house
*An amazing church and school community/family that we have come to love
*My husband that works so hard for us day in and day out
*The rain that fell last week and the rain that is supposed to fall today/tomorrow
*Cough drops (I have been eating them like candy the last day or so)
*Oh and the real candy that we have from Halloween (thankfully the boys go to bed early so Rick and I can raid the buckets for a piece or two without them knowing (hee-hee))
